1st stop was the Harley Davidson in Frederick, Md.
(After a slight delay for the railroad train to cross the highway as only 1/2 of the riders had cleared the track!

[Bill said he had stopped all kinds in his career,
but never a train!!! :) ]
On to Boonesboro, then Brunswick and back to Leesburg!

There were over 100 prizes...
but the best surprise was a special guest...
WASHINGTON REDSKINS star CHRIS COOLEY and his lovely wife...
Chris donated 2 special uniform shirts and presented them to the winners!!!
His away games jersey from last year - autographed!!!
& The Pro Bowl jersey he wore when the entire League wore 21 in honor of our lost hero, Redskin Sean Taylor...Chris autographed that as well!
Special Guest of the day was the Virginia Special Olympics Global spokeperson...
and as the event ended, despite our struggling economy...the almost
400 motorcycles had contributed over $12,000 in proceeds for the wonderful cause of Virginia Special Olympics!!!
Special thanks to Chief Joe Price who supports this effort, the Community Police Team, the police officers of the Leesburg Police Dept, Officer Fitich who provided "signing" for the Eastern Deaf Bikers Assoc., the team of awesome volunteers who made this all happen, and all the careful bikers, riders, and other police agencies that participated!!! Charlottesville PD even had motor officers who traveled up here to help lead the group on the ride!

Ledo's of Leesburg furnishes a final meeting meal for all the volunteers of the Leesburg Police Department's Annual Poker Run - each year on Thursday night prior to the Poker Run, all the volunteers that make this event happen are treated to a dinner of pizzas and sodas from Ledo.
